Introducing Myself :)

Hi There!,

My Name is Sarah Conway. I am originally from Waterford but I am now living in Kilkenny. I am in my final year in South East Technology University in Waterford studying Human Resource Management. 

My favourite past time is reading, music and  knitting.

 I have over 60 physical books at home and have 100's more in my kindle. My favourite types of books to read are phycological thrillers and mystery books, especially the ones in trilogies. My favourite book of all time however is Jane Eyre.

I listen to a lot of music when I am commuting to and from college. I also play the guitar and tin whistle in my spare time. My favourite artists are Arctic Monkeys, Blur , Oasis and The Smiths.  I especially love listen to my vinyl's on my record player whilst I am knitting during the winter.

In secondary school, I always knew I wanted to pick business as a subject in college. Waterford was an easy option as I was so close to home and the range of opportunities present in SETU. I chose to do HRM as during my first two years in college, I loved learning about the theories and how organisational behaviours work. I also think a personality trait of mine is caring. I was not going to originally go down the HR route, and was going to teach business at a secondary school level. I am really glad I picked HR , especially after part-taking in the work placement last semester. I did this in Oscar nominated and Emmy winning studio Cartoon Saloon as a HR administrator. 

I am excited to do this digital economy course. I am interested to learn about e-commerce , especially about the rise of digital payments and how life has changed digitally since COVID.
